Stunning coastline and ancient history - Self Guided Cycle the beautiful unspoilt coast around Sliabh Liag (Slieve League) and Glencolmcille. Discover history dating back to the stone age. Distance: In this tour you cycle up to 48 km. Requirements: You MUST be a competent cyclist and familiar with the rules of the road relating to cycling in Ireland cyclists on the way to Sliabh Liag On the way to Sliabh Liag Hop on one of our top of the range electric bikes to explore the varied and dramatic coast in the area around the Sliabh Liag Cliffs and Glencolmcille. Take in the breathtaking views while you cycle effortlessly up every hill. This one day bike tour brings you to Europe’s highest sea cliffs at Sliabh Liag. You will also visit the Silver Strand — one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. In the Glencolmcille Valley you can explore ancient graves, monuments and standing stones. The pace you cycle at is up to you, but to get the most from your experience it is best to allow at least 4-5 hours. Bike Tour at Glencolmcille, Donegal At Glen Head The tour begins in Carrick Village where you can pick up your electric bike. We will show you how to operate it so that your cycle will be as pleasant as possible. We will also give you route directions as well as your guide notes to places of interest and sights along the way. From here you cycle the dramatic winding road to the viewing point at the Sliabh Liag Cliffs. After returning from the cliffs cycle the loop taking in the Sliver Strand and on to Glencolmcille. Complete the loop by cycling back to Carrick where you return your e-bike.
